![]() FROM THE BEGINNING......
For generations, the kitchen has been the room in which many family discussions are conducted and important decisions are made. In just such a setting the concept of starting a computer consulting and multimedia business in Winchester began to take shape and MEDIA ENTERPRISE GROUP, INC. (MEG) was born. From the first discussion about the feasibility of such a business, the idea seemed to be viable and all people involved in the decision-making process envisioned great success. Little did we know the first year in operation would far exceed all expectations and result in a network of new friends and clients from all corners of the state.
Perhaps the most crucial decision made was to locate the business in Winchester, which is home to two of the principal officers. From its beginning in the Spring of 1994, the officers of MEG agreed that one major goal would be to perform analyses and make recommendations to its clientele based on individual needs, performance expectations, and anticipated return on investment, while still maintaining our primary focus on the Winchester community. It is our belief that exhibiting a high degree of integrity and professionalism has directly impacted the level of success realized to date.
TO THE PRESENT......
Then, in the early Spring of 1996, MEG embarked on a new challenge. Many of our clients were desperately searching for a local Internet access number, and approached our officers about the possibility of making it happen for Winchester. After months of research, planning, hard work and long hours we presented the Community with it's first locally owned and operated Internet service, Kentucky-in-Touch
On July 15, 1996, Kentucky-in-Touch
A business must remain flexible and keep its finger on the "pulse" of its customers and the community it serves. Throughout the history of MEG, we have responded to our community, and have focused on incorporating new technology, staying on the leading edge of our industry and striving to meet the needs of our community and our neighboring towns. We will continue to keep an eye on the future...and as technology changes...we will be there to change with it.....to meet the challenges it holds for us. The Internet is our business.......our main focus......it's NOT a sideline.......and NOT a hobby.
